Reflection on Friday's Meeting

The thing about our meeting was that we are trying to plan to have a walk-a-thon next year. We trying to get sponsors to sponsor our walk-a-thon. Write letters to people like Mayor Nutter. Get refugees from Darfur to speak about their experiences in the camps. Organize a presentation to tell information on Darfur.

Service Learning

The places I have chosen to do community service at a library, a pre-school, after school

program, or a museum. I want to really volunter at a pre-school and a museum. THe reasons

why is cause I love to work with young kids. I always wanted to work at a museum cause every

one has a story to tell. I liked the idea service learning cause we get to learn from many things. I

never heard of service learning and this is my first time being apart this. Service Learning should

be a good experince.

My NHD Reflection

My NHD experience was very stressful. It was easy and diffcult! It was fun putting the project together but i did have some trouble. Though I got through it. My topic was poetry! I found a poem by a woman named Isabella Oliver who said that she thought that slaveowners were wrong for using the bible to justify slavery. I thought it was a very interesting topic ! I learned a lot from my NHD experience so I will do better next time and have my stuff on time!!
